My almost 30-year personal yoga practice has been an integral part of my life. I have practiced Ananda, Anusara, Ashtanga, Bikram, Hatha, Hot, Iyengar, Jivamukti, Kripalu, Kundalini, Laughter, Naam, Power Vinyasa, Restorative, Sivananda, the Barkan Method, Viniyoga and Yin Yoga and love them all! I have also studied various pranayama, meditation techniques and chanting to deepen my practice.
There are three things we need to do for healing to happen: eat real fresh whole foods, move our bodies, and learn how to reset the nervous system through relaxation. Yoga helps with both movement and relaxation. If you haven’t tried it, find a teacher you enjoy and prepare to be amazed!
In 2008 I went through two, 200-hour teacher trainings and was certified as a yoga teacher by both Lotus Gardens Yoga School in Sherman, CT, USA and the Hot Yoga of New Zealand in Nelson. I also received specialty training in yoga for children from Growing Lotus Kids in Norwalk, CT, USA and in Restorative Yoga from Inspire Yoga, Nelson, NZ.
Because of my work schedule I am unable to commit to teaching a regular yoga class but am available for private sessions and yoga parties. Private classes are NZ$65/hour, US$55.
